Reminder: you must enroll and select Southwest as your airline BEFORE making a reimbursable purchase.
Some have suggested the need to wait several hours or even a day before making the purchase, but there are also several DPs that worked without waiting that long.

(BTW, you will often hear people refer to Southwest as WN. WN is the IATA code for Southwest Airlines. SW is the IATA code for Air Namibia.)

Caution: As of late July 2019, reports are that direct gift card purchases are no longer being reimbursed.
To purchase click here: https://www.southwest.com/gift-card/create-card.html Caution: Do NOT login to your Southwest Rapid Rewards account when making the purchase.

What does appear to work is buying flight tickets less than $100, OR using gift cards to get the charged amount down to less than $100.

Always read the last few pages to get up-to-date DPs.

So I have 2x plat, each with $200 credit for 2020.
What's the best strategy to get it all combined under 1 travel voucher?

Thank God. I see a change in the tracking meter. It has gone down from $250 to $72.04. I am so much relieved. No credit yet.

If your tracking meter has only $40 left, and you buy an under $100 ticket (say for $70), will they just credit you for $40? or will they only credit you when the flight cost is less than/equal to the $40 remaining?

Same as buying a $500 lounge membership when you only have a $200 fee rebate available. You get credit for the amount of the fee rebate, if the amount you spent was more than that.

Can multiple refunds from different flights be combined into one? Also am I able to book for someone else as well if I'm also traveling?

yes

The refunds must be used by the original traveler that the res was booked for before refund.

Waaaaay to soon, you’ll probably see the meter go down on the 13th

Just another data point about purchasing $100 ticket on Southwest and getting reimbursed on AMEX Plat. Worked like a charm!
