Reminder: you must enroll and select Southwest as your airline BEFORE making a reimbursable purchase.
Some have suggested the need to wait several hours or even a day before making the purchase, but there are also several DPs that worked without waiting that long.
(BTW, you will often hear people refer to Southwest as WN. WN is the IATA code for Southwest Airlines. SW is the IATA code for Air Namibia.)
Caution: As of late July 2019, reports are that direct gift card purchases are no longer being reimbursed.

What does appear to work is buying flight tickets less than $100, OR using gift cards to get the charged amount down to less than $100.

Thats a good deal of time. My PRG credit (July purchase) posted in 3 days. Makes me wonder if this is dead for the plat card.

Seems like terrible timing on my part. Not only have I not been reimbursed but now I have a useless $100 gift card.

I'm wondering if AMEX has somehow changed their reimbursement of airline gift cards. Just earlier last month we were able to get reimbursed on two of our PRG cards (me and wife).

I too am seeing the same issue. Purchased 2 x $50 in July and both were credited within 3 days.
I did 2 more x $50 one on 8/26 and one on 8/27 and neither has been credited yet.
I will give it a couple more days before calling in.

Upgrade to Bus. Select?
If I purchased an WGA fare, and then later upgraded it to BS, would the upgrade fee be considered a reimbursable fee under the rules of this benefit, or how it is coded?

Currently on a flight right now. Just purchased the WIFI for the sole purpose of checking reimbursement delays. Will reply back every couple days.
