ETA: To clarify, I mean cancel within 24 hours and seek a refund (as opposed to a credit) doesn't work, if I understand correctly. A credit can work because that's still a charge from Amex's perspective.
You are mistaken.

Really? I'll be happy if so. Are you saying that you can buy the low-price refundable ticket, cancel within 24 hours, and you'll end up getting both the full refund from JetBlue and the Amex statement credit for the same amount?

Amex Business Platinum.

$86 flight from LGB -> OAK purchased 9/26. Credit posted 9/29.

$100 and $57 change fees charges posted 9/29. These are totally covered by the T&C. Meter has not yet moved, and no credits have yet posted, but I'll give it another few days. If it doesn't work I'll give them a call.

I fly B6 often and am considering making it my airline for my second Plat. Already use the $200 from first card for pet fee, but am thinking I can try booking under $100 fare, cancelling within 24 hours, and then having the travel bank funds to use. Is it as simple as calling B6 and saying I want to cancel, but don't refund me just put in my travel bank?

I haven't done this yet b/c I'm always seeing conflicting reports. Please let me know if you've incurred your B6 Even More Space seat charges as part of the original ticket purchase process (or if you purchased EMS afterwards)? Also, if you've booked EMS seats for both you and a companion at the same time and if both have been reimbursed by Amex Platinum. Many thanks!

I was reimbursed by AMEX when I added EMS after purchasing an award ticket without it. I was also reimbursed for the small amount of tax I paid when I first booked the award ticket.

Anyone knows if transactions over the weekend take longer to post than on a weekday?
