Reminder: you must enroll and select AS as your airline BEFORE making a reimbursable purchase. Click HERE to enroll.
As of June 2017 gift certificates are no longer reimbursed. Link to buy gift certicates
According to this thread in the Alaska forum the reimbursement of Alaska Club memberships is no longer a problem. To see how much of your annual credit you've used, log in to AmEx, select the card in question, choose "Membership->Benefits" off the menu bar, scroll down to see the travel credit benefit. (with thanks to Lumpylump76)
Tickets cancelled within 24 hours are refunded back to the card used for the purchase.Tickets for travel dates > 60 days out can be deposited to your wallet when cancelled (this has not been true for some time). Change fees may apply depending on your status. Change fees are waived for MVP Gold and MVP Gold 75k members according to this page: https://www.alaskaair.com/content/mi...ID:MileagePlan (expand "service benefits" towards the bottom of the page). The wallet funds will expire one year after the issue date of the original ticket.

So are we going to assume this was just a temporary systems glitch and we can all go back to breathing a little easier? I sure wasn't ready for this to end yet. Too many airline fees to use.

I had a flight change fee that didn't post. I private messaged, and at first the representative couldn't get it to post, He gave the specific phone # I needed, but before I could call he resubmitted, and it worked.

This is the only recent data point where tickets below $100 worked. I Had a purchase on 8/24 that didn't trigger the credit. Might have to try again with a flight < $50

Dudearino. WELCOME to FLYERTALK!!! Love the name.
Thanks for posting your data on your AS transactions. You do not specify if you have status with AS. I assume this was for travel you actually wanted.

I am MVP Gold so I usually just purchase airfare wait a couple days then cancel and load the money into my Alaska wallet. My wife has a couple of Aspire cards so I will test those credits out later this week and report back.

Is the companion fare and/or taxes refunded by AMex. I"m a week out and not seeing anything...

Not officially, but from what I have seen any charge directly from Alaska under $100 should be reimbursed. There appeared to be a glitch at the end of August that charges aren't getting reimbursed. Usually only takes a couple days.

I've never successfully gotten it reimbursed. I also haven't tried gaming it with partial payment using wallet or gift card funds.

would like to see more "non-legit" expenses under $50 and over $90+ get credit.
