As of June 2017 gift certificates are no longer reimbursed. Link to buy gift certicates
According to this thread in the Alaska forum the reimbursement of Alaska Club memberships is no longer a problem. To see how much of your annual credit you've used, log in to AmEx, select the card in question, choose "Membership->Benefits" off the menu bar, scroll down to see the travel credit benefit. (with thanks to Lumpylump76)
Tickets cancelled within 24 hours are refunded back to the card used for the purchase.Tickets for travel dates > 60 days out can be deposited to your wallet when cancelled (this has not been true for some time). Change fees may apply depending on your status. Change fees are waived for MVP Gold and MVP Gold 75k members according to this page: https://www.alaskaair.com/content/mi...ID:MileagePlan (expand "service benefits" towards the bottom of the page). The wallet funds will expire one year after the issue date of the original ticket.

I've been using Delta, easy process, buy 4 x $50 all at once, reimbursed right away, certificates emailed right away.
Switched to Alaska this year.
My experience:
Don't try to buy these while you are logged into your Alaska account, it errors out every time.
The first one I bought at $50 I selected the email option. Never received the email with the PIN code. Called customer care and they were to email me a copy. Never received it. Called again and did get the PIN emailed. Customer care agents have been very good to deal with.
Second and third $50 was purchased using the print feature. Was able to print with a PIN code on the certificate right away. This option worked the best for me.
Credit has been hitting my account 3 days after purchase.

Purchased 2 x $100 on Jan 24 and 25.
One was reimbursed on Feb 3. Nothing yet for the second one.
Anyone else experienced slow reimbursements recently for AS?
Last year they were credited within 1-2 days.
