2nd upgrade?
I signed up for the upgrade couple months ago, and it is now downgraded back to the business gold.
I just received an email from Amex today regarding another upgrade to plat for 25k.
Anyone had any luck on the 2nd upgrade?

How long did you have the plat before downgrading?

I presume they prorated the AF? Or did you even pay the AF?
Curious if you grabbed the $200 airline benefit before you downgraded?
Why not try to upgrade again just for kicks to see if it works?
I kept my Plats so as to get $400 airline reimbursement on each card, plus use on Small Biz Saturday (I buy a bunch of gift cards at favorite local businesses). $425 cash value for $450 AF plus signup bonus etc. A sweet deal.

Can I ask why you decided to downgrade so quickly?

I just received this offer too. If I accept, how will it affect my getting any future bonus on the Business Platinum card (such as a targeted 100K offer)? I opened the Business Gold card early this year and plan to close it before it renews next year, or sooner if that would help me shorten the time to wait for getting a bonus on a business card again.
Also, since I already have the personal Platinum card so probably wouldn't want to keep this card too long. How does the prorated refund of the annual fee work? Is the amount you'd be charged just $450 divided by 12 = $37.50 times the number of months that you hold the card?

if you already have the BRG for 3 months. they will prorate the annual fee due to 450/12*9=$337.50.
if you have a new PLAT and canceled within 60 days of the account open day(some people had luck within 60 day of the AF been charged) they will refund you the full amount.

So I just did this upgrade for my 2 gold card accounts....and curiously my centurion account which showed up as a "Lowes" card which I clicked through on (before I remembered that for whatever reason the cent was mis-identified). Will see what happens tomorrow to the cent account

No one feels it's necessary to wait to downgrade until the points post? I'm not sure how forgiving Amex would be if the points don't post after the stated 6-8 weeks and you call in holding a Gold/Green card.
If I were doing this, I'd probably upgrade, get the $200 airline credit, sign up for Global Entry, wait for the points, and then downgrade. Figure you are paying 2 month's fee ($75) for $300 in benefits plus 25k points. Still a solid deal in my opinion.
