I have this when I click on my Business Gold in my AMEX dashboard. At the top under my name:

"Congratulations! Based on your history with American Express, you're invited to upgrade to the Business Platinum Card®. Apply today and you can earn 30,000 points and focus on what's next for your business. Learn more."

Can't decide if I should do it...

I saw the offer when I logged in the other day, and this morning I got a call from 800-647-8575 asking me about my Business Gold card, telling me about the benefits of the Platinum card, and offering me 30,000 MR if I spend $10,000 within 5 months. I was a little spooked by the call at first (called me on my work number and was very familiar with my spending, particularly on airfare in the last 12 months). Has anyone else gotten this?

yes- I got this call too and I was spooked out too! Turns out the guy is a "special MR consultant" and wanted to help me upgrade.

I was also offered 30k for 10k spend.. that doesn't sound appealing. I'd rather wait for at least a 50k offer.

I got a call from the same number, (In the voicemail he presented himself with the name TXXX, ext, XXX4). Left me a message. Is this a legitimate call?

Received this call today. 30k offer for 10k spend in 5 months. I took it - since my personal PLT AF is coming up soon I can downgrade - this card offers better perks on a few things. . Only asked phone and address. A little high pressure but I was actually looking for this upgrade anyways so works for me.

I got the same call and upgrade proposal, except 50k MR offer for 10k spend in 5 months. They called 2 months in advance of my renewal date. Took the offer for the ~$50 difference in annual fees until anniversary. Will probably meet the spend for the bonus in the next 2 months, cash in the airline fee rebate, and downgrade back to BRG when the $450 hits at anniversary unless I get some sort of juicy retention offer at that point. Don't need the card for the benefits as I already have the personal Plat (got it on a 100k offer awhile back, then 40k no strings retention bonus so kept another year).

One question, can one get this upgrade bonus if they previously had personal plat and the welcome bonus before?

Yes. The bonus is targeted, not publicly available, but it's for upgrading a Business card so completely unrelated to the personal Plat.
