I got $10 to share with 3 FB friends, with little success. They all thought it was a scam, and it seems they can't get the $10 without having an Amex or installing the Gift Chain app. Is that right?

I thought the link would just take them to a form to enter their email address.

I keep getting the $2 credit, but since it is off $25 WalMart cards, I figure I am getting 9% off the gasoline I buy there. A few free gallons. 2 purchases netted me nada....

I know we've confirmed that posted mailings work, but in case anyone wants an additional reference point:
- Mailed 11/28/11
- Received gifts over 12/9/11-12/10/11 (confirmations via e-mail)
- Purposely selected 10 gift chain merchants that I perceived to be less commonly shopped at (i.e. I didn't send any entries for Walmart, REI, etc)

I got sent one of the links. My husband got the gift and I'm one of his FB friends so he sent it to me. All I had to do was click on the link and put in my address (I think I had to "friend" Amex). I just double checked the link and it said the gift was on it's way to me. I'll let you know when I get it.

Thanks. I couldn't convince anyone to follow through with installing/friending the Amex application.

Ah - so I went this route to request credit for two purchases that haven't posted. Initial response was that they are eligible and they'd forward to marketing etc. to figure out why no email. I should hear back within 15 business days. Wait, what? Must need to bring in the heavy guns for this extremely complex problem.

I did pretty well

I ordered my daughter a pair of shoes from Vente-Privee for a couple of bucks because of the first use credit they were offering.

Shortly after ordring I received a $25 e-giftcard for Kiehl's from the Gift Chain.

TRU is still live - just don't expect much more than a $5 credit. Working on my 7th card! First purchase is always shoprunner...
