Do you have to always call to get Skylofts through FHR?
Just check the Skylofts website and the FHR rate is 15% off Best Available Rate... you have to call to book...

TheHotel

Stayed at TheHotel last night at an FHR rate and booked a V suite hoping for an upgrade to an H suite. I had some family in town and wanted to get an H suite for a little get together one night. I checked on the web site a day before check-in and saw that all the H suites were sold out even for revenue rooms, let alone a comp upgrade. I decided to go a bit early on the check-in date, just in case. To my pleasant surprise, not only they found me an H suite but also advised me that the suite was ready if I wanted to check-in right away. It was on the 62nd floor with great views. The $80.00 bkfst credit goes a long way at the café so we had a nice lunch and still the bill was only $68.00
Overall, a great stay and the front desk staff were great in accommodating me despite a very busy hotel for a convention...^

You can use invited guest check-in as PC Platinum?? I didn't know this. Is it the same at the palazzo?

Is venetian still a part of the FHR? I didn't see it on the website.

I just stayed at the Palazzo and yes you can use the invited check in.

I got a strip view but no suite upgrade. I also got charged the first night charge a few weeks ago, and the hotel just charged me for that already paid night. I'll have to dispute with Amex now.

I'd personally stay somewhere else, I've stayed at Palazzo twice and it's not bad, but I think there's better options.

Las Vegas Hotels - FHR experience [Beginning Q4 2010]

Shouldn't really matter on the Encore side

I've had that happen to me before with FHR. It's a pain. I don't know if it makes a differnce but did you book online on FHR website? The one time I booked online i got doublecharged.

I kind of agree. Its not really my fist choice. But I'm going on a bachelorette party and apparently the venetian is where the bride wanted to stay?? Not sure why. If anyone has any better hotel recommendations for a bunch of girls on a bechelorette party, please let me know.

We stayed at Venetian on an FHR in November and were told that 2013 would see Palazzo instead of Venetian as FHR.

This was after (albeit briefly) queueing for "normal" check-in - and only then being informed we could have used invited guest. We used it for check-out, after having to drag our luggage through the Casino (advised of a 30 min wait for bell service, hardly 5*!)

To hcampana - depends on the bachelorettes, but assuming your priority is "party" (drinking & dancing) over gaming and dining, then Wynn/Encore is surely a stand-out option.

Just stayed at the Encore last weekend through FHR with the 4th night free promotion. We booked a tower suite room, and we weren't upgraded at check in to a larger room, but at least we got a strip view. This can be both good and bad, however, since the noise from the XS club is continuous from about 11 PM to 4 AM on Friday/Saturday night. Not too big a deal if you're up late anyway, but it's something to consider if you'd like a quieter room.

We used the spa credit, which was automatically credited, and we also took advantage of the $80 daily breakfast credit ($40/pp). In the FHR letter, it states you can use it for in-room dining or at the restaurants, but we used it exclusively for in-room dining. Also, the Encore rep confirmed that the daily credit is not exclusive to breakfast, and can be applied to any in-room dining, which is a really nice feature.

The only hiccup we encountered was at checkout, where the breakfast credits were not automatically deducted from our bill. Once we talked to the staff, however, it was cleared up, and we were on our way. Overall, it was a very nice stay, and I think the extra privacy and level of service of the tower suite section is worthwhile if the rates are reasonable.

i'm wondering why you don't really prefer this property. i have a great time every time i stay here FHR or not. it's a younger crowd than wynn/encore, and the rooms are generally bigger. venetian has tao, and wynn has XS. both tons of fun.

in terms of the hotel and decor itself, i find wynn a bit nicer, but always prefer venetian/palazzo due to the crowd as i'm usually in vegas for bachelor parties and/or for partying.

i'm "not sure why" you'd want to stay somewhere else for a bachelorette party. if you want even more party appeal, stay at the cosmo. not an FHR party, but even more fun. i'm sure anyone that's been there will agree.

Does anyone know how much the breakfast and dinner credit is at the four seasons las vegas? I call FHR and they don't know and tried to transfer me to the hotel but all I got was a busy signal.

I was going to ask about the Four Seasons as well, I thought I was going to do the Palazzo but may be rethinking it based on how generous they are with credits. Any recent experiences? I also read that the Palazzo doesn't have in room breakfast but the Four Seasons does. Is that still the case? Thanks.

For 2 people breakfast is 50 USD daily - Verandah restaurant or Room Service.
Dinner credit was 100 USD once during stay.
On check-in we were informed this could be Verandah or in-room; on check-out they argued Verandah only, but relented.
Worth clarifying when you check-in.
