I actually wouldn't combine casino rates and FHR rates....if you get the upgrade with the FHR rate, you might not be able to stay in the same room with the casino rate. I would take into account the free breakfast, value of the upgrade and the spa credit and figure which route is more advantageous and go with it. FHR also gets you the late check out if you need it.

Conformation

Have any US Card holder that booked with PTS able to use the credit yet? I think that this is all the conformation I need right? They have been holding my deposit since May 5th. So that means they will have had 7 week to contact me about the reservation, by the time I check-in. Thoughts?

Also did anyone ever received the T&C's?

Previous Post:
I have called ARIA three times to confirm after booking, they said all of the verification needed is my ID and PLATINUM AMEX. I also have three PDF copies of the reservation, two of them mention the credit (One from ARIA and one from AMEX). The first part is from AMEX PTS and the second is from ARIA. I also have the sales agents name at Aria that book and confirmed the reservation with the PTS Agent, I have her name also. If it helps I am also Pearl (Over 2/3rds the way to Gold) gambling tier with mLife.

Yes, I'm a US Plat. Everything appears good with your reservation. The only thing I would do is call the Aria direct (closer to arrival) and just verify everything is still good on their end.
Never did receive the T&Cs, mine was treated as a resort credit, anything charged to the room (except retail and tips?) was removed.

I do not believe the offer was ever on the FHR site, because this is not an FHR property although it can be booked through PTS.

I called this morning , they only allow this promotion for

1) International Amex Platinum Card Holder "The Personal Platinum Card only"
2) Primary Card Holder only

This does not apply for business card holder . even my centurion business card can't dip on this promotion. They mentioned it is not FHR promotion .

Platinum® members must book their stay with Platinum Travel Services. Book and Travel between April 1, 2012 to August 31, 2012. This credit may only be used at Aria Resort & Casino, with no blackout dates, for all room types, subject to availability. No minimum night stay required. Not available on pre-existing reservations. Redeemable one time only by the basic or supplementary American Express® Platinum member. If multiple rooms are reserved, credit applies to one room only. Fulfillment of this credit is the sole responsibility of the participating American Express merchant. The Platinum member is responsible for all additional costs exceeding the value of the credit. Payment must be made with an American Express® Platinum Card in the Platinum member’s name. Any remaining balance on the $500 credit may not be used at a later date. This credit is non-transferrable, may not be combined with any other offer, and has no cash value.
Cheeky question but regarding the $500 Aria promo(terms above). I don't suppose I could book 2 nights under my card and 2 nights under my partners supplementary card(on my account) and get $500 for both? That would not be allowed under the terms above, right?

Also, is it worth splitting my stay to take two nights in Aria(to avail of this promo) and 2 nights in the MO. The cost is roughly the same as staying 4 nights in the Aria but obv its a faff to change. Just wondering if 2 nights in MO under FHR is worth the faff. Advice from seasoned Vegasers recommended

Oh and can get the $100 spa credit in MO be negotiated/swapped for food credit? I have almost no interest in spa so even a $50 restaurant credit would be preferable.

Bellagio

Booked base room
Got lake view room
Amenities: 85 lunch credit, breakfast vouchers for 2, late checkout.

It was about $135/night. Totally worth it.

Yes they are very strict on the terms. they reject both of my centurion and platinum business card . said has to be The Platinum or The Centurion , not the The Platinum Business / The Centurion Business.

No, the offer is available once per account.

Up to you, I like the MO (Stayed 30 nights last year) but have never stayed at Aria yet. I am there (Aria)in July for 4 nights on the $500 offer and hold a ressie for a further three nights at both Aria & MO so I can decide what to do when I get there.

No you can't swap the spa credit for food & bev but no harm in asking. Just don't expect to get anything.

So I have the personal US AMEX Platinum.
Can I book the Aria deal?
If so, do I book it through AMEX travel?
AMEX travel can't seem to find the deal.

The offer is not intended for holders of USA-issued cards.

Thanks Pyle and draerospace, very helpful.

My only worry now is that the mandarin might be a little quiet for a Vegas hotel. I kinda want a hotel that has both a comfortable/luxurious room but also a fun vibe and fun/large pool area. The pool area in the MO looks very small and quiet.

THE hotel @ Mandalay or Four Seasons might meet this as they are 5 star hotels with access to the regular mandalay bay hotel and pool area - but I worry these are too far south on the strip.

What about Wynn/Bellagio, are they quiet hotels or are they lively places to stay?

Trying to decide what the best FHR hotel is to go with so hope you guys in the know can help

The rooms at the Mandarin Oriental are great, but I've been the only one at the pool on a few occasions

Encore has a definite vibe to it and a good pool scene. Also, the pools at the Bellagio are immense. The HOTEL and Four Seasons are far from the action. I'd vote for Encore.
