Upgraded AMEX Platinum Benefit - Emerald Club Executive Status

Just noticed under my AMEX Platinum account in the online Summary of Accounts that AMEX Platinum card holders now get Emerald Club Executive status, there is a link to sign up or upgrade an existing Emerald Club account.

This is a nice added benefit to the Platinum Card, the Executive Aisle typically has nicer vehicles than the regulard Emerald Club aisle, but I never rented from National enough to earn this on my own.

This has been a benefit of Amex Platinum Charge card for over 3 years at least as far as I remember and it is not by any means a new benefit.

Emerald Club membership was included, but not the higher level Executive status.

Though I am a CENT and not a PLAT cardholder, per se, I believe all CENT benefits by definition are inclusive of all PLAT benefits.

But - I searched and searched my AMEX homepage and could not find any mention or link to activate.

Can OP be slightly more specific (like "look on the top right of the page, directly below "xxx")...tia

It was a large box on the cover page once I logged in, right underneath the summary of accounts.

There is absolutely nothing in the Centurion website about any Emerald Club membership, Executive or not. I've never heard of any elite status from National with a US-issued Centurion.

Does this benefit apply to Platinum Business (Open) Card owners as well? I don't see anything on my accounts page about it or a place to register for it. Anyone have a link?

Thanks very much, sbm12. Enrolled today so we'll see what happens at the next rental.
