AMEX Car Rental
Hi,
I am currently enrolled in Premium Car Insurance. I'll be in NY for the next weekend. I'm planning to rent a car. Should I use my AMEX for the rental or another card and buy the full insurance. I also have Geico Full Insurance.
Thanks...

Sounds as though you have waaay too much insurance.
Personally, in the US, I rely on my personal auto policy and the "free" insurance that comes with Amex charges. IME, Amex is pretty good about covering things.
PS: you're not renting a car to go into Manhattan are you?

What is your tolerance for exposure? The Premium Car Insurance is primary insurance-your personal insurance company doesn't get involved if you have an accident. Cost is $25.00/rental, up to 30 days I believe.
If you use the other method, your personal insurance is primary and the overage is covered by the fee you pay to the rental car company. Cost varies by rental company, and it's per day...
