transferring MR to ex-wife OnePass account????

I am sure it is right here in front of me, but I have been searching for over an hour on flyertalk.com and on the MR's website, and I cannot find the answer to my very simple question.

I have over 100,000 MR's, can I transfer 40,000 of these MR points into my ex-wife's CO OnePass account?

Thank you, Jim

You can go online and add her one pass account number and transfer without talking to anyone. Worst case you can add her as additional card holder and transfer. Was this part of your divorce settlement?

I am just trying to be nice.

Do I have to add her as an additional card member if I want to transfer the MR to her OnePass account?

Thank you, Jim

Just try it first with adding her one pass account number to MR and just do it.

No, you do not.

Add her OnePass account (you need her full name and OP account number).
Go here: https://rewards.americanexpress.com/..._mr&Face=en_US. In the bottom-left corner choose to "Link Additional Programs" and enter the relevant details for her account. Go back to the main page and refresh it and you'll see her account there as an option for transfers. You can then process the transfer. You'll be hit with the excise tax recovery fee but otherwise no big deal.

Thats a pretty vague and broad blanket statement. You dont know the details of the situation beyond him wanting to be "nice" ... maybe there's a reason behind that.

It seems to me there is no " Link Additional programs". It shows two tabs (summary , and statement details). Have they revised the website?

Go to membershiprewards.com
LOGIN
Click Points Summary
View the Summary tab.
Scroll down to Linked Travel Programs
At bottom of list see Link additional programs

To link or transfer your card must be enrolled in standard Membership Rewards or Membership Rewards First . If your card participates in Membership Rewards Express you cannot transfer. Examples of Express cards are Blue and Zync.

If you have both a standard card (Green, Gold) or a First card (Platinum, Centurion) points earned with all linked cards including Blue or Zync will be commingled.
