Amenities:
You can now travel between the American Airlines and Legacy US Airways terminals without leaving Security via a shuttle service. The shuttle runs every 15 minutes between 5:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m., with stops at Terminal 6 (Gate 65A) and Terminal 4 (down escalator by Gate 44) - or take a 10-minute walk via the connecting tunnel.
An airside shuttle bus runs from 4:00 PM from the shuttle bus terminal (down the escalator by Gate 44) to the Tom Bradley International Terminal , strictly for passengers with boarding passes departing TBIT on Qantas.
Yet another shuttle bus from ground level by Gate 44 connects to the Remote (American Eagle) terminal, with its own Club.

Completely shxt imho compared to QF F. A waste of time to visit. I had so much expectation and AA has once again let me down.
its a good demonstration of how much lack behind AA is, in terms of airport lounge. Upon check in with AA Flagship check in an agent told me they have this lounge built to compete with QF F, which for sure it’s a failure.
The flagship check in is well hidden and really nice indeed, though. A big thumbs up.

I was expecting the flagship at LAX to be the same as Kennedy, which I think is real good, apart from the recent admittance rules as its way too busy.

I'm not there till next week and have been looking forward to seeing it open at long last - so am also intrigued with posters comments. The Qantas lounge is good, but not that great and for me, the novelty of it has worn off after being there numerous times. It reminds me of a school canteen over here in England. I do like the bar tho and the servers and bartenders are great.
I was expecting the flagship at LAX to be the same as Kennedy, which I think is real good, apart from the recent admittance rules as its way too busy.

Here's my quick comparison of the two lounges (Flagship and QF F at LAX). Admittedly, I have only been at the FL once, and I didn't have access to the FFD, so these have to be considered.
AA Flagship Pros:
Greater food selection, especially for salads and the like
Better views
More power outlets
VSOP Cognac
Self-Service (for when speed matters, or for some, personal preference)
Closer to the majority of AA flights
QF F Lounge Pros:
Made to order meals and table service
Better champagne selection
Tended bar
Coffee Barista
Each to their own, of course, but I prefer the QF F Lounge, but the Flagship Lounge is mostly an upgrade, except for potential crowding, to the old one IMHO.

) I just don't like the Qantas layout, but yes truly the bar and the food is a big advantage over the old Flagship and in the new one not everyone has access to F dining. So can understand why the Qantas lounge gets great reviews and looks like it still will, by the majority on FT that I have seen. And if the new admittance rules stay in place, then its going to be too busy I imagine.Just a question if you or anyone knows , In the new flagship are there still views outside onto the waiting planes or is that just the F dining area do you see?
Anyway, thanks for your comments - oh yes, the employees at the Qantas lounge also add to its positives. Just the room I dislike really.

), but your point it totally valid.I suppose the best way to look at what I compared is what is available at LAX to OWEs and AA EXPs with qualifying lounge access w/o the AA Int'l or transcon flights that would also provide FFD access as well.

Had the chance to try Flagship First Dining at LAX today. It really is a club within a club within a club and it didn't disappoint. The Admirals Club and Flagship Lounge were both quite busy but I was the only one in FFD. Both the food and service were excellent. While enjoying a light breakfast, one of the servers asked if she could get me a newspaper. Coffee and OJ were continually refilled without my having to ask. In the future, I see no need to go to any other lounge. A friend of mine in LA told me there was an article on FFD in the business section of today's LA Times.

Early breakfast this AM at LAX Flagship was quite good. Only one other passenger (6:15 AM for). Nice lounge, decent menu and decent food. Very friendly staff. Proactively refilled coffee, juice

In the FL now - pretty much the same noise and chaos of the AC on the other side of the wall. Makes me miss the old one and reminds me to maximize time at QF F moving forward!
(However much like the above poster I was in here at about 5am a week back for breakfast and it was great - very calm)

My third visit to this lounge took place on Tuesday evening, about 8:30pm.
A bit of a cluster to enter the AC/FL lounge at the entrance, as a group of 4 people, outraged at being denied access to the AC, could not decide whether or not $59 per person was worth the money to enjoy the Admiral's Club for a three-hour layover. Really?
Once inside the FL, the upgraded environment provides instant calm. The open ceiling and expanse of windows make the space look larger than most lounges. Claimed my table along the windows facing the tarmac, and poured myself a Napa Cabernet. Walked over to the "Pho" station, where the young woman with the pleasant smile greeted me warmly and assembled a tasty bowl of comfort food. That was followed by a charcuterie plate and two mini cannoli that were really good. Walked out with my mini-bottle of San Pellegrino with a smile on my face. Side note...the bathroom was immaculate.
Service continues to be exceptional from the staff inside the FL lounge at LAX. Kudos to AA.

I'm now in the LAX FL twice and a couple of comments: the breakfast potatoes are consistently cold and I CANNOT stand the cheesy elevator/MUZAK music they play.....it sounds like a doctor's office

Any thoughts on using FL showers vs going over to QF? Found FL to be very crowded on my first visit there last week (late morning) vs a nearly empty QF lounge if you have time for the short stroll.
