I also received a nice note from Hector Adler who I also reached out to who said that pre-departure services were discussed at great length at a meeting late last week. Let's hope things begin to improve and if not we continue to press the FA's to follow company policy.

So there you have it.

@AmericanAir 08/18 AA123 ORG Limited #PDBServed

This allows all PDB service to be posted, good, bad, and otherwise. This should show AA that we feel this is a desired service. Maybe if someone gets energetic, a summary post could be done, maybe weekly?

On board flight 297 to HNL and the PDB consists of a full open bar. My partner is having his usual Bombay and tonic. I'm having club soda.

Definitely the part of South America that is above the equator. They are all out of MIA. The longest time I've been airborne in our 175s was a route around weather LGA-DFW with a 5:20 flight time. I'd love for them to sort out the liquor license issue as well.

7/7 AA 319 PHX-PDX - boarding started on time. My enuthusiasm for a retrofitted 737-800 faded quickly when there was no PDB. Laziness is the only reason I can think of for no PDB. The door is shut before departure time and everyone on board.

Saying it's AA I give it one thumbs up as I grade AA against themselves not against other airlines.

7/10 AA1183 ORD-MSY (2120 departure): full PDB. Turbulent and unsafe for service in the first 30 min, but the crew didn't stop working once they got the OK. Excellent service until ~10 minutes before landing.

Aboard AA1244 this morning (7/12) ORD-DTW. Full PDB's offered even before our weather related delay was called. FA made multiple passes for beverage orders. After delay was announced, came by with the snack basket telling us the weather would be following us to DTW and she wasn't sure she would be able to get out of her jumped at so wanted to be sure that we got something. Well Done!

7/12 AA 296 SFO - DFW nada

FA even brought the breakfast cart into the cabin and used it to block Y passengers from trying to us the restroom up front.

After collection of breakfast, 2 FA and one former on stood behind curtains in galley and talked until we began the decent.

Oh well! They are here for our safety primarily!

LAS-DFW - pmUS A321 - PDB of choice, despite catering not making it onto the aircraft until about 15 minutes before departure!
DFW-ASE - Skywest CRJ-700 - PDB of water only - no conceivable reason of why

I flew from HNL to LAX yesterday on flight 284. The PDB consisted of a bottle of water in the seatback pocket.

Pre-departure drinks?

Are pre-departure drinks on AA on domestic flights (Miami-New York) in first class SOP/part of the expected/required service or not? "Optional"? Flight is delayed and just sitting here on the ground while about 3 FAs are chit chatting up front.

Entire thread on the first page, about ten posts down from the top, here. I assume this will be merged, but it helps to look first.
