I also received a nice note from Hector Adler who I also reached out to who said that pre-departure services were discussed at great length at a meeting late last week. Let's hope things begin to improve and if not we continue to press the FA's to follow company policy.

@AmericanAir 08/18 AA123 ORG Limited #PDBServed

This allows all PDB service to be posted, good, bad, and otherwise. This should show AA that we feel this is a desired service. Maybe if someone gets energetic, a summary post could be done, maybe weekly?

ORD-LGA
LAA 738
Full PDB offered ^

Then maintenance issue and while figuring it out, refills offered.

I have really good luck with LAA ORD based crews but I know some don't.

Actually the standard warm nuts and cookie were offered. Nice surprise.

6/15 AA2580 MSY-LAX 18:50 (737-800): full PDB. Good service in the air.

6/20 AA2225 MSY-ORD 08:15 (737-800): juice or water. No reason why a full PDB could not have been done -- the aisle was clear at least at T-20 min.

6/20 AA1058 ORD-LAX 21:50 (737-800): juice or water.

6/22 IND-ORD AA3578 Nothing. FA was eating. After take off no snack or drink. FA just sat in the jump seat for an hour. No turbulence either.

6/22 ORD-LAX AA2225 Water. No beverage service until 45 minutes after take off. I asked for a drink while they were taking the dinner orders and they said the cart will be by later. I usually have excellent service on the 788, not this time.

AA contacted. If everyone that posts a negative result also contacts AA I think it can have an affect.

That's the best reason. It's clearly explained that "PDB of choice" should be served on the catering sheet, and UA/DL manage to get it out almost 100% of the time.

That's ridiculous. Nobody asked for anything?

That's what I was thinking. I may not like the answer, but I certainly would ask for a beverage and a refill.

6/24 CLT-ORD AA#2055 A321 LUS - Full PDB
6/24 ORD-LAX AA#2225 B788 LAA - Full PDB
Made sure to let the FA know this was much appreciated and gave him a few applause certs. Told him most adults don't want OJ on a 6pm Saturday flight.

6/9/17 LAX-PDX AA6081 - Full PDB offered (although sadly the regional jet didn't stock Woodford!)
6/11/17 PDX-LAX AA6081 - No PDB offered at all
6/18/17 LAX-ORD AA2576 - Full PDB offered
6/23/17 ORD-LAX AA2225 - Tray of water and OJ offered, I asked for a cocktail and was smugly told, "That cart isn't open yet." The FA surprised me by coming by about 10 minutes later with my requested cocktail and was friendly and attentive the rest of the flight.

Strange. Was someone supervising that interaction who may have possibly talked to them in the galley afterward? Just seems odd to me.

Maybe they were being sincere/weren't communicating properly and intended to bring you your beverage? Maybe you're EXP/CK and they feared that you might contact someone at AA if the service wasn't carried out per the specifications? That is strange.
