OW Sapphire baggage allowance
 
Can anyone help confirm my assumption. Flying AA first domestic, have BA silver (one world Sapphire) am I right in thinking that gives me 2 bags at 32kg for the first ticket and a third bag at 23kg as part of my OW status?

Unfortunately not. OW Sapphire gets you two bags at 50 lbs. each. First Class gets you two bags at 70 lbs. each. My friend just flew this week with three bags as a Sapphire and was charged $200 for the third bag.

Correct info, but I also want to flag AA's checked bag policy page, which, unlike some other oneworld carriers I've flown, is quite explicit about the allowances they permit non-AAdvantage oneworld elites.

For Sapphire members, the extra bag basically only works in economy where there is no or 1 bag allowance.
