Award on Hold discrepancy between app and website.
 
The app said ticketing deadline May 6 (didn’t click through).

web said May 5.

So I ticketed in May 5, but it was only fortuitous that I checked the web.

anyone else encounter this?(lax-lhr, put on hold May 3),

I have not seen that. I have a trip on hold now and the app and web are consistent.

If you put it on hold on May 3 the ticketing deadline should have been 11:59 pm LAX time on May 4. Not sure how it could have been either May 5 or 6, unless you booked it right around the stroke of midnight.

OP is holding an award ticket, not a cash ticket.
