Due to BAHolidays double points, my son is BA Gold/OWE and has the ability to access. He will be traveling with me, his father.
In my experience this doesnít affect OneWorld elites, seems to just be for AA members accessing with their status. Not sure I fully understand why.

YMMV, was asked an ID/passport more than 5+ as a BA Emerald when entering different AA Admirals Clubs / Flagship Lounges in the USA in 2024.

I don't know what is the logic about this as at LAX FL both pre-COVID and post-COVID, I have seen lots of under 21's being admitted and escorted inside by a member of ground staff; especially before AKL and SYD flights, where most of them behave pretty good but some where quite smart where their escorts were not around pouring champagne and enjoying it.

Haven't noticed any alone young passenger in other FL's.

Was a PHX (A7) and DFW (B3) last week and both times they said they had my picture on file, otherwise they would have asked for ID.

DFW A twice last week. Photo ID not requested, but it was noted the second visit that my picture was on file (not that I really know when or how). Carded once. Mrs. Jayer had to produce her boarding pass also both times.

Inferred but not directly stated the concern was crowding, but by that they were addressing a problem with airport employees being guested in. Outbound we were relatively late for breakfast (thanks to a little ride-share problem that I will stifle myself from ranting about), and it didn't seem crowded. Very sparse for dinner at 8:45 (but it was 8:45).

DFW FL yesterday. No ID requested.

Very odd. I've never carried an Admirals Club membership, so I don't think AA has my picture on file.

SNA: scanned boarding pass, and as I was getting my ID out was told that since I was attempting to show ID, that was good enough. I didn't have to actually pull it out of my pocket.

DFW FL: showed ID without prompting. Was told "Oh, yeah, we're supposed to be checking that."

Have they ever scanned your drivers license? They started doing that sometime back in the 2016-18 range. I don't remember exactly but they were capturing images from that.

So, this past trip I was asked for a photo ID but I am the "plus 1" on my wife's MasterCard/Club Access so makes total sense. When I am with her they never ask.

Not that I recall, although I could easily have forgotten about it. I thought they only did that for AC members (vaguely recall the threads here about it at the time).
