[Please move to the BOB thread if appropriate.]

Not on any flight Iíve been on in a long time (pre-pandemic maybe?). Though most of my main cabin travel is on shorter flights where AA never offered the snack box to begin with. But on PHL-DFW on Monday, it was only Pringles and the cheese plate - no snack box.

DCA-DFW breakfast

Eggs were pretty edible. Filling was just cheese, no onions or peppers (thankfully). I wish they would cater croissants on 900 mile meal flights.

I know the grain bowl thing from JB is bad but how is the frittata?

I swear the Transcon options are now worse than midcons.

I have no clue what to order. Maybe the muesli as well but not much of a meal.
Muesli is served in a tiny ceramic sauce dish with the same fruit side that is served as first course. I had it Tuesday. Nothing about ANY of the food options served from this transcon F breakfast menu was appealing, except for the outstanding onboard FA service. May I suggest a stop in the LAX Flagship Lounge preflight for scrambled powered eggs or a stale pastry to improve your experience?

Good airplane breakfast IS possible.

See this dish on Delta One TCON last year. It was ground-based restaurant quality.

That breakfast is from a transcon route on Delta One and in my experience, the omeletes AA serves on premium transcon routes have been much better than the Delta One lukewarm quiches. Also, the fruit appetizer AA offers in F and J transcon breakfast flights is easily twice as big as Delta One's.

Right there with you on your thoughts on the FL. And AA Transcon game is in shambles. Same old crappy food. Getting tired of it.

By far best meal I’ve had on any US carrier. AA could learn a lot from DL on their Asian Veg/Hindu meal.

Edit: picture wont post. I dont know what I am doing wrong.

Yup, might be hard to see with the leaves covering it, but basically 2 pieces. The bagel being, well sub-prime, I just put everything on half. Bread basket came out as well.
