Minor Schedule Change, can I request a different flight?
 
My flight that has a connection, underwent a schedule change and now arrives 25 minutes latter. I am flying in F from JFK-LAX with a stop. Do you think I will have any luck requesting to be put on a non stop in J without being charged additional? It was booked with points at a low rate.

Can’t hurt to try.

You should be able to, according to the latest schedule change policy. If you encounter a frontline agent who says no, end the call then and there and HUCA. Don't escalate or you risk getting your PNR noted, which might lead to subsequent agents also denying the request on the basis of the previous agent's note.
