Use Avios on aa.com
Hi,
The flight I'm booking is an AA flight, and requires fewer miles/points on AA.com (7.5k points) than on BA.com (18k points). I have enough BA Avios, but not enough AA reward points. is there any way I can use BA Avios for the less expensive flight on AA.com? thanks! |

Based on the figures you mentioned, it sounds like you are looking at two flights (a connection) rather than one flight. BAEC charges for each flight flown; AAdvantage redemption rates include connecting flights. |
I agree. Normally for AA shorthaul flights BA Avios is cheaper than AAdvantage.
18k Avios would fit 2x 9,000 Avios segment with BA. |
Not sure the route. If round-trip you might check if Iberia prices any cheaper. Changes are more restrictive.

Oh the sweet days where a short AA flight could be bought for 750 BA points
|
Got it! You're right- It is a connecting flight.
thank you! |
