Help requested : Using SWU on one leg on BA
I am asking this distinguished group for some clarity with using a SWU when one leg is on BA. Perhaps a primer is in another thread but I was unable to find it.
I am planning a 2 week visit to Athens in February with flexible dates. On the AA site I see SWU availability to LHR but ‘not offered’ for the leg to ATH. I am under the impression that BA is allowing SWUs but I am at a loss to engage. Any guidance is greatly appreciated. Me: EXP, Expert Flyer premium client, very flexible travel dates in February. Thank you |

Look on ba.com for award availability in J on the LHR-ATH leg. If it's there, you're good. Then call AA to complete the task.

If there is award availability, then you can use the SWU. I really wouldn't worry about it though given that the seats are the same and other elements such as lounge access/baggage etc are all allowed for already
Getting an exit row in economy class will , imo, give a more comfortable flight than that in business cllass |
Folks - the OP is asking using an AA SWU on a BA leg. All the off-topic posts have been removed. If you'd like to discuss BA cabin arrangements, seat selections, in-flight amenities, etc. - please do so in the BA forum so that the OP has a chance to get their question answered/discussed. Thank you. /Moderator
