I have Connection time >24hrs, Question
I need a long connection time in NYC.
I managed to book with an agent, on mileage: PHX=>JFK=>TLV, with a connection of 23hrs and 56 minutes in JFK.
So, this is Domestic to International connection at JFK.
Now I noticed that the PHX=>JFK flight (same flight#) changed a bit, the connection became 24hrs and 16 minutes.
The reservation still appears in my AA acct as a Valid reservation, WITH the 24hrs and 16 minutes connection.
Assuming this reservation stays as is:
Am I in any risk of AA cancelling my JFK=>TLV flight in the Last minute due to illegal connection?

Having a "connection" over 24 hours is perfectly fine, it's just that if you want to do this voluntarily at booking then you will typically be charged for 2 awards (or the fare will break if a paid fare, etc.).
But if this is the result of an AA schedule change after the fact then nothing will happen as long as you leave it as is.
