Zero seat availability for selection LHR SEA r/t in Y

Looking to book LHR to SEA round trip in early October for a long weekend. The basic economy fare is excellent, but there appear to be no seats at all for advance selection (as a platinum) in either direction. Which would be a disincentive for flying the route (Im generally luck with bulkheads and exit rows on my usual routes). Anyone know whats going on here?

Are there actually no seats available for selection? Or does it appear that there are no seats available for selection?

I've been seeing an aa.com glitch where the seat maps that show during the flight search results appear full, but once you click through the actual purchase process seats are in fact available to select.

Definitely there appear to be on stats for selection. But even if its an AA.com glitch (which sounds likely), its enough of a disincentive not to book these flights. Or can I hold the flights then select seats? If all thats left are middle seats in the centre section, Id rather not travel!

The seat maps that come up during select seats part of the booking process once you've selected the flights should show accurate availability.

Your can check EF for the real seat map. If you don't have EF you can book and see if it shows up. If not, call in and select seats. If that doesn't work, you have 24 hr for full refund cancellation if that's enough of a reason for you to cancel.

A glitch with the app / website would not surprise me. I would also check both the full (desktop) website, and mobile/app, as they may be different if it's a glitch.

Its definitely a glitch. It happens to me on just about every flight I look at. You dont have to actually purchase a seat to see the real seat map, just go through the motions until you get to the page that allows you to select a seat and then abandon the booking.

Funny thing is that AA has previously gone after customers for excessive cancellations after doing exactly this. After you put your passenger info in and proceed to seat selection, it creates a PNR for you. And yet thats exactly what theyre telling people to do do work around this website bug.
