MIA really doesn't like me

3 flights this week in and out of Miami and the was around 3hrs late. The second only a couple of hours, and now the third has just gone tech.
Let's see if they can source another aircraft.

For some of us, it is where our connections go to miss.

Just under 3hrs late in the end. Something to do with the nose cone etc. being involved with bird strikes, so bits had to be replaced.
Then the landing in Detroit I think and a slow drive over to Chicago.
Every bag except this flight seems to have appeared so far, so probably a good hour waiting for them.

Lucky I've got a layover of 24hr. Wouldn't want connections involving MIA or ORD at present.

I assume the "drive from Detroit" was a sarcastic description of a long taxi at ORD.

Ahhh. That where I got lost as a native. Natives would have probably used Naperville or even Valpo if attempting hyperbole.

Taxi times might be long, but Ill take them over the airports previous configuration 10-15 years ago. Back then the winds of an odd direction or IFR conditions would cause 1-2 hour FAA delay programs regularly. Believe me that an additional 10 minutes taxiing beats sitting in the penalty box for hours at your origin waiting for the wheels up time.

Bad place to connect at night. Tons of people sleeping in the airport each night.
