Earning AAdvantage Miles on Qatar Flight that is an Alaska Codeshare
In December I am flying IAD-DOH-RUH-DOH-IAD on Qatar Airways metal. The IAD-DOH and DOH-IAD flights are booked as Alaska codeshare flight numbers and the DOH-RUH-DOH is booked on Qatar Airways flight numbers. If I understand correctly, I can earn miles based on AA's award chart with Qatar. Does anyone have any experience with this? I entered my AA FF number and I have been able to select exit row and bulkhead preferred seats at no cost as a Oneworld Emerald, so I take that as a good sign that QR is recognizing my AA status. The IAD-DOH-IAD legs are booked in Y (on Alaska) so I would make 100% RDMs on those flights and DOH-RUH-DOH is booked in H so I should also earn 100% RDM there as well. I've done a lot of flying, but I haven't encountered this situation before. The flights are booked this way to comply with my employer's travel policies, so I have little say in the matter. Thanks for any feedback.

On the flights with Qatar flight numbers you will earn according to the Qatar partner chart on aa.com.
The chart that's used is always the one for the marketing carrier (ie, the carrier in the flight number on your ticket)
It doesn't matter who sold the ticket and it only matters that the carrier that operates the flight is a OneWorld carrier.
ETA: those 100% numbers are correct for Y on Alaska and H on Qatar, but those are only base miles. Don't forget your status bonus on top of that. If you are EXP you will be earning 220% of miles flown, as both RDM and LP.
