if I book an AA flight using chase sapphire reserve points in economy, do I get to pick MCE and get put on the standby list for first like I do if I booked directly online?

Yes, this is just booking a normal paid ticket but through Chase travel, and using your points to cover the cost. As soon as you book it will show up at aa.com under your reservations and you can select seats, etc.

Yes. Make sure your AA number is on reservation.
