With hundreds of annual reports of and queries about delayed, diverted, canceled flights we have established this consolidated thread to prevent these from overwhelming other forum threads.

For assistance and useful resources when your flight is affected, see AA OSO, IROPS / IRROPS, travel policy, delay, cancel etc. resources (master thread)

● For information on current and recent AA flight delays, check out AACargo.com

● For information on U.S. Airport Delays, check out: FAA Flight Delay Information

● For information about holds, delays, etc. on airports, flights, historical data check FlightStats

KVS Availability Tool - read here for further information, with access to WSpan Operational Info.

ExpertFlyer also provides FLIFO / Flight Status Comments for current flights in it's Flight Status section here.

● For "translation" of FLIFO terms, use this page on FlyerGuide.

● For current and forecasted weather delays, use Weather.com Airport Delays

● To see a flight's path within the US radar areas and delay histories, use FlightAware flight tracking. (N.B. Some features require a free signup.)

Yes 9.5 hours on an E75. After 4 hours on the ground in Wichita Falls, the weather lifted enough to allow people to go into the terminal (theyd already pulled out the delay packs) but I have mobility issues and couldnt do it.

Already done while sitting on the plane, also the ground crew that did everything they could to get us back in the air including tracking someone down from the AFB to get the breakers reset on the taxi and runway lights.

Just made it to MIA via a middle seat in the back of coach to discover they forgot to unload all the priority bags at DFW once we final arrived last night.

Absolutely brutal!

That is about as bad as it gets. I grew up in SPS, and I am happy that the ground crew there did their best to help you guys out. Kudos to the crew as well. I hope you enjoy your time in MIA.

As an aside, is there a seasonal LIT-MIA flight this winter?

It looks like your flight made national news...at least an article in the New York post.

Sat on AA136 right now - second time in 24 hours... we were late yesterday, as we had an A/C change - AA72 *was* our equipment, until their woes in Sydney sent us looking for a new aircraft.

Assigned a new plane and pushed late from LAX... then an hour or so in, we diverted back to LAX due to inoperable lavs. (Which was a known issue in LHR were the replacement A/C originated, so... grumble grumble...)

Back on the ground, no options other than to wait for MX - rescheduled for the following (today) morning. Further delays this morning as "Agents could not log into their computers at the gate" (so said the agent at the gate over the PA)... all in, looking at 20 hour delay.

My flight tomorrow still shows a 9:45 AM departure.

Is my fight going to get further delayed or do you think the crew is coming from somewhere else..? I realize its just a guessing game but thought I would ask.
It's really hard to say. For that much of a delay they will probably get another crew if possible. Taking a 6 hr delay at the beginning of a day is going to cascade (I'm assuming that that plane has somewhere else to be).

Looks like crew legality, not equipment swap.

AA1295/20 operated with the same equipment (N824AW) that came in as 1398/19. And arrived almost 6 hours late at 01:46 on the 20th. Note that outbound 1295/20 was delayed far far later than 09:45 today. The equipment stayed on the ground at OMA for roughly the same 12 hours it was originally planned to be.

The equipment currently assigned to 1295/21 is N813AW which arrived more or less on time tonight as 1398/20.

No way I could handle that if not in F. That's insane.

Things like this are what made me switch to mostly F, even on shorter flights. A few hours in cattle class is tolerable until it turns into something like this.
wrp96 and hbtr like this.

Final tally was 9.5 hours on a regional jet to go LIT-DFW. Thanks to the crew that said they would stay with us when they couldve said they were done.
They probably wanted to get home too.
