Might be a small thing, but the white linens in FF are looking pretty thin/worn out, IMHO. Perhaps AA should replace those with starched white linens that aren't as sheer/see through.

Question: when will AA start phasing out International F? Will they convert the cabin to J, then from there, discontinue service? Or will they do similar to UA and keep the seats during the transition period and move up EXP/CK to those seats, but provide only J service (no soups, no big white linen, no sundae goblets)? As a side note, I hope AA keeps the goblets, they're classier than a simple cup for ice cream, and are similar to UA's goblets they use in Polaris.

Any suggestions for this selection in J on AA 51 LHR-DFW early October? It's the breakfast flight and not too excited about the options.
  • English Breakfast
scrambled eggs, chicken apple sausage, bacon, potatoes, grilled tomato
  • Caramelised Brioche French Toast
apples and toffee sauce, fresh strawberries
  • Cold Charcuterie Meats
parma ham, milano salami, plum tomato and buffalo mozzarella salad, smashed avocado with pesto, stuffed green olives
  • Smoked Salmon Benedict
lobster hollandaise sauce, hot flaked smoked salmon, toasted English muffin, soft poached eggs

MIA-SCL 20 Sept 1130 pm 788 seat 5L

PDB of sparkling wine or water.

Had preordered the fish. It was fine. Sparkling was an Italian bubbly but didnt take a pic of the menu.

Service was fine. Bedding made me miss UA.

I've got the same menu DFW-LHR next month. Thinking I'm going to do the grain bowl.

You sure? You'll be handed a bowl of something that looks like it came out of a dog food can.

The salmon was awful when I had it on ORD-LHR in June. It may have been that it was overcooked to the point of having the texture of steak, but I couldnt eat it.

I've done the beef filet, it's . . . fine. About what you expect it to be, given AA catering. As others have noted, the Hindu meal is usually pretty reliable (again, not fine dining, but reliable), assuming that you like curries.

Left over Covid desserts. Those are the absolute worst, unless you like eating insanely sweet hockey pucks.

Maybe Asian Veg? Thats a bad menu for me. I dont like salmon & dont eat beef and the chicken is horrible and the grain bowl looks so bad.

Any recommendations for this selection ORD-LHR in October?

Cheese Enchiladas - with bchamel sauce, julienne red and green peppers and onion

Harvest Vegetable and Grain Bowl - roasted garlic dressing, roasted vegetables, pickled onions, lentil salad, green beans, roasted shiitake mushrooms.

Golden Roasted Chicken - roasted tomato chutney, salted smashed potatoes, haricot verts.

GREEK BEEF STEW - with orzo pasta

ORANGE POACHED SALMON - seasoned tomatoes, red quinoa with vegetables and grilled asparagus

Mains were as per my last post here. Here's the full menu:

I skipped the Crab starter (don't eat seafood) but had the rest of them. Really liked the watermelon and fetta, the lettuce salad was... a lettuce salad. Nothing too special.

I had the steak pre-ordered, which looked OK except half of it was incredibly rubbery. The potatoes and spinach were nice, but the miso hollandaise was excellent - not too eggy.

And of course, ice cream sundae for dessert, with butterscotch and nuts; followed by a square of dark chocolate.

The flight attendants went through and offered breakfast to everyone, I only had the strawberry oatmeal smoothie (which was really nice, although the oats had all sunk to the bottom so you may want a spoon) and a cup of tea (which surprisingly for an airline called American, was pretty good); but the flight attendants did check on me and make sure I didn't want anything else a couple of times which was very nice of them.

I was pretty happy with this honestly, I wasn't expecting a lot but I'd be happy to fly American to the US again.

Dinner in J
MEX to US

Flavor was good, but fish was definitely over-cooked/over-heated
