I hate the verbiage " MAY"...You MAY have to pay. Well, will I or won't I?
When one purchases a ticket the rules need to be clear. Instead we end up on the phone.

Thanks for all the input. I made it to Bangkok with my bags. The "solution" was to rebook me on entirely different route that did not have layover that extended into the next day. I ended up flying an extra 3k miles still arriving on the 24th. I did have to endure 2 hours with the check in agent to get the resolution. Glad I can to airport early.

Baggage fees cover check in to baggage collection. Whether there will be fees on the next period of check in may vary. To state "will" or "will not" would lead to inaccurate information being given
