AA297 LAX-HNL returned to LAX Sept 28th

Anyone on the flight that diverted back to LAX yesterday? Curious to see what happened.

Per EF it says it diverted for "Operational" reasons and then delayed due to "A/C Equipment Change." I presume something happened with the first plane making it impossible to fly (maybe ETOPS related) to Hawaii and then they needed a new plane. Someone with more internal deets might be able to chime in if that's correct or not.

Hopefully, the FBI will catch the teen, and give him an extremely thorough body cavity search, so he will understand how unfunny this behavior is.

Well I was way off lol. EF needs to add an "Airdrop fail" code.

I hope his parents (assuming it's a boy) get: 1. sued by AA 2. class action laws suit by passengers 3. Invoice from AA for delay

Pretty sure they aren't going to need to worry about GE and Pre, I would expect this to land them on the No-Fly.
