Does anyone know if the man was trying to bring back a questionable someone's "Be Best" campaign?

5 years in federal prison would be appropriate.

Yeah... never allow him on AA ever again. Preferably, never allow him on any commercial flight, with anyone, ever again.

The only two times I think accommodations should be made for economy passengers to use the FC lav is when they are either very elderly/disabled and it's much closer, or when it's a parent with an under six who really needs to go.

Fat, drunk, and stupid like that guy was don't fall into any of those two categories.

Situations like this really cannot be tolerated at any level. Regardless of Pax momentary mental deficiency... This could have been the beginning of a much larger situation if there were others onboard with similar mental issues or even a more sinister plan. I really don't like to see crew abused verbally or in this case physically. This particular event could have left the FA with a pretty bad injury.

There is better video showing the passenger in 2C, getting up to allegedly go back and confront/restrain the assailant, but it cuts out as soon as he gets up. Would like to see what he ended up doing. He didnt hesitate to take action.

There needs to be severe penalties for people like this. This moron put the lives of people in that metal tube in jeopardy. Until the Court system starts handing out significant sentences (like 10 years in jail) for these actions they will continue. Trash human beings tend to be like birds of a feather. In other words, the word gets around that assaulted an airline employee will mean you're going to big house for a long time.

Federal parole was discontinued decades ago (for convictions occurring after the date of discontinuance). Good-conduct time credit still exists, and can result in an inmate's bring released a little early.

For once I would like to see a follow-up story about what happens to these jackasses in the court system. My guess is that he'll end up with a plea bargain to some lesser offense and serve no jail time. Part of the reason this crap keeps happening again and again.
