Right and I don't disagree with you. My university profs would most likely cringe at the degradation of the English language, but keep in mind that I'm nowhere close to being influential as people like Lebron James.
Uh...lol!

Yes, in that case it's countable. But that's a slightly different definition of the word than was being used here. (saying that something costs "less money" does not mean that it requires fewer types of currency to buy)

As long as we're complaining about language pet peeves, I'd like to just point out that when people use "gift" as a verb I want to scream. I don't recall ever even hearing it used this way until the early 2000s, and now it seems to have entirely replaced the word "give." I will die on this hill.

I'm sure that it will be only a matter of time before we see documents, etc starting sentences with 'So' and weaving 'like' into every other word within a sentence. Agggh!!

It sounds like ending sentences with a preposition is something up with which you will not put (apologies to Winston Churchill).

So this may be unique to me but American's incorrect and inconsistent spelling and grammar really drives me nuts - do they not have anyone who checks things out?
Today I received an email with the subject "Your complementary upgrade is confirmed." What exactly does the upgrade complement?
And this isn't a one-off...on planes with videos for years, the screen talking about seat belts both uses "seat belt" and "seatbelt." I noticed a few weeks ago another example of inconsistent spelling on the same view.
I get it - this is probably a minor complaint. But it just makes American look unprofessional; you would think they would want to fix these things.
