Any reason AA 100 to LHR cancelled tomorrow on June 29?

I assume no way to get to LHR in premium cabins? How much searching did you do? The 7:55 am day departure shows seats. BOS-LHR has decent availability.

Translation for just another day of failure at AA.
I hope everyone on this flight holds them accountable to providing every last penny of support that they are required to provide. This is 100% within their control.

Well , for the flight that the aeroplane is scheduled to operate back to the USA would get cancelled and many passengers may well end up entitled to UK261 compensation - unfortunately no such provision seems to apply to UK

The EU261/2004 regulation was first entered into UK law in 2005 and is still UK law though with a new title - UK261 - and other than some very technical amendments and the amounts fixed into - it is still the same regulation and will remain UK law until it is repealed or amended.

Come again? I assume the ref to UK261 should actually read EU261?

I assume what you mean here by "to UK" is "to flights travelling to UK" rather than "to UK law" as I think it may have been misinterpreted.

As I said - with the flight to the UK being cancelled, then the flight back to the USA that that aeroplane would have been used for would, assumedly, also be cancelled. Those booked on that service would likely be entitled to compensation under UK261

well yes. I read it as Dave meant the regulation didnt apply to the UK not that he meant it didnt apply on AA operated flights to the UK.
unfortunately no such provision seems to apply to UK
There has been no change in the regulations so that it would apply to a non UK/ EU airline on flights landing in the UK.

Heathrow asked airlines to cancel flights because they couldn't handle so many passengers.
