Oh. I get it .

You are so correct. There are SOOO too many opportunities for the faís to provide safety during a typical DFW-lhr flight, that company mandated services, common courtesy,, good attitude, and providing the bare minimums to passengers really must take a ďback seatĒ.

Sorry, Enviroian, you got buggered by ďsafetyĒ. 😆

I thought official AA policy is that for EXP on confirmed C upgrade or paid J tickets they will rebook on partner when flights delayed or cancelled, esp if itís equipment (and I think Iíve heard even for weather IRROP they will as well when there is significant delay and an alternative that gets you in sooner?). I thought for revenue share JV thatís not even really a question or a case of revenue loss and even for OW non JV they will do it too sometimes agent-dependent. Is this a change in policy or a bad agent who wouldnít follow the rules?

Not sure which, but I may have HUCA after hearing that response.

I got rebooked on BA F once (pre-covid) on a cleared J to F SWU that got irrop'd on day of travel.

Back when AA was still flying to HKG I remember people here hoping all the time the flight would go IRROP so they could be reaccomodated on CX (which isnít even a JV partner.)

Now I just became worried. I am on AA80 in about 5 weeks. Going DFW-LHR-BER for a MSC cruise to Norway out of Kiel, DE (evening after BA flight landing)
At least it isn't far to the Copenhagen, where it stops the next day
