Transfer / codeshare (EI to AA at LHR)

Hi

It would be great if you could clear this up. Getting no help whatsoever from American Airlines and now starting to panic a little bit

Booked on a single ticket with AA on the following flights

AA8032 DUB - LHR 0630 - 0800 T2 operated by Aer Lingus
AA729 LHR - PHL 0915 - 1215 T3 Operated by AA

I have managed to check in for the aer lingus flight, but not AA flight yet as its over 24 hours.

I am in a bit of a panic over the luggage and what to do when arriving at LHR

Is the luggage checked straight through from DUB to LHR even though only checked in to LHR flight?
Do I just do a flight transfer on arriving at LHR?
Do i get boarding cards from checking in on line with AA?

The transfer is tight so i just need to put mind at rest. AA call centre have been pretty useless and cant answer

Many thanks for your advice

N

You will be fine. Yes, on a single ticket like this your bag will be tagged all the way to PHL, you do not have to claim it at LHR or anything like that. When you check in at DUB they should be able to issue you both boarding passes for DUB-LHR and LHR-PHL. When you arrive at LHR just follow the signs for flight connections, take a quick bus ride to T3, clear security again in T3 then head to the lounge or gate.

Did a similar JFK-LHR-SNN set recently, 1) to get a proper lie flat on the long/overnight flight, and 2) to avoid needing to kill a couple of hours on arrival before presenting myself to my MIL at an appropriate time of day :).

It was seamless as expected.
