I agree 100%... the press release seems to mention this was a new benefit with a start date of 6/21

Agreed. It's definitely misleading.

Bad news.. no viasat

Bad news... on an AA a321neo w Viasat. No tmobile logon in sight! Poor form on tmobile's part. By giving a start date they implied something would be different but it looks like for now it's only GOGO.
Will keep trying

I mean all of the press releases, media, even the splash screen on T-Mobile, literally say, and I quote, "On select flights to, from, and within the US--with more arriving soon." (emphasis added)
Source: https://www.t-mobile.com/benefits/tr...R4NFPP3TQ29942 (scroll down the page about halfway)

It never said, it will be available on whatever desired flight you happen to be on...

Regards

Very true... it was more of a hope (especially with the "start" date). That said my dealings w tmobile have usually been more upfront with less ambiguity than other carriers.

As the old saying goes, "hope is not a plan."

I'm not sure how T-Mobile could be less ambiguous than saying "select flights" which literally means "not all flights." I'm not sure it's reasonable to assume they would provide a city pair listing of every single flight, on every airline. T-Mobile probably does not even completely know that information themselves.

Maybe they could have somehow messaged this better, but honestly, I'm delighted. AT&T and Verizon are both raising prices on customers, even on existing plans. T-Mobile is holding prices and adding significant and useful new features to existing plans, at the same price. Honestly, that is pretty awesome.

Regards

Didn’t try streaming.
I think this was the slower streaming, but on my LAX-RDU round trip in May there was the free T-Mobile 1 hour link and I didn't have to enter a code from my phone.

AA also has a 20 minute free offer if you want a 15 second ad. Good for quick flights...

sucks for cost to cost flights. East to west I got 30 mins. West to east was 20 mins. I found it odd

Yeah, I saw that too. LAS-LAX was pretty much all that was needed. I did a two-device plan this month and that 30 minute freebie came in handy for companion #2 last week. The offer was also 20 minutes on my MIA-DCA trip.

Yes it's very nice actually and sometimes I get 30. Not sure who gets 20 or 30. Just enough time to check email and/or flyertalk and resume napping.

T-Mobile just announced that they are now offering free Wi-Fi on United on flights powered by ViaSat.

Coverage Beyond launches on United’s 737s, MAX8s, MAX9s, select 757-300s and select A319s with Wi-Fi supported by Viasat and Thales InFlyt Experience with more flights and Wi-Fi partners to be added soon.

So, any word if AA ViaSat flights will be included at any point in the future, since this makes up the majority of their fleet?

I was on four ViaSat flights last week - No T-Mobile link but was able to watch two short video commercials to get a total of 1 hour for free
