AA First
Last November I flew JFK to LHR first-class on AA100, then BA business class to Dublin. (also Oneworld Emerald) Was turned away at the Concorde Room, told to hit the first-class side of the Galleries Lounge. Same experience a week later, when I flew into LHR BA Business Class, connecting on AA101 First Class to JFK. Next week I repeat this itinerary, but fully expect to get told to wander around to the entrance of the Galleries Lounge again. Looks like people are having a mix of experiences, perhaps depending on who staffs the special door....

LAX-LHR-T5 Europe departures:
My SWU to 1st LA-LHR on AA didn’t clear so I didn’t attempt.
JFK-LHR-T5 Europe departure:
Arrived LHR in 1st on AA (77W). Went to Concorde Lounge and scanned my 1st class AA pass then said “you can also use the Galleries lounge on the other side”, then let me into Concorde lounge.

Please excuse my late reply. My 2 experiences below from the past 2 weeks:

Arrived LHR in 1st on AA (77W). Went to Concorde Lounge and scanned my 1st class AA pass then said “you can also use the Galleries lounge on the other side”, then let me into Concorde lounge.

Anyway, I guess the lesson here is that if one gets pushback, it’s worth insisting they scan the boarding pass which will either show you’re allowed access or you’re not allowed access. That way getting in or not doesn’t depend on what side of the bed the agent woke up in.

Not allowed without GGL card this morning.
No one at Flagship Check-in to ask - yes really no one, and BA staff had no idea when they were going to turn up despite web site saying:

Got this via Twitter exchange with AA. It confirms (in a not terribly convincing way) what seems obvious to most of us. There is clearly a policy that AA first gets access. As far as I can tell, it's just the odd agent that either doesn't know or is on a power trip. I mean it doesn't make sense that some agents would proactively on their own initiative start admitting AA F passengers. I'd be curious to know if anyone who has been denied entry has actually had their boarding pass scanned and been denied. Or if the agent immediately decides you're not getting in and doesn't bother scanning it. Not sure showing this Twitter exchange would change anyone's mind though!
