Getting Credit for B6 Flights

Anyone else having a hard time getting AA credit for JetBlue flights booked on jetblue.com? I consciously remove my JetBlue number from these reservations and put in my American one, but the system somehow loses my American number and credits it to my JetBlue account. On the last flight, I had the reservation agent at the airport pull out my TrueBlue number and re-add my American one, and I still ended up getting JB points instead of American miles -- American can't do anything once JetBlue has credited, so I've now spent an hour on the phone with JetBlue trying to change it. Short of booking through AA's site, any ideas on how to prevent this?

There are two places in a reservation for a frequent flyer number. I forgot what they're called, but one is for credit for that segment and one is for "status" in the record, or something like that. Sounds like they're accurately replacing one but not the other. They have abbreviations that both start with FQ...

I haven't had any problems. However, make sure you're not logged in under your TrueBlue account if booking at jetblue.com. That should minimize the risk that your B6 FF # makes its way into the reservation. You can also try accessing jetblue.com 'incognito' to see if that helps.

I booked on jetblue.com using incognito and not logged in and they still somehow swapped in my TrueBlue account. I guess they go heavy on the email address lookup. What I did was use their iMessage chat support, which is quick and easy since you just let it queue you up in the background, and tell them to make sure they associate the reservation with the AAdvantage number.

Took the flight Thursday morning and it posted to my AA account this morning (Sunday). Not bad. I keep submitting feedback whenever I speak anyone to urge them to provide Even More Space seats upon booking.

Never had a problem. I usually fly B6 as an AA codeshare and the miles are in the next day. Can't speak to booking it as a B6 flight.

Moderator note:

As this does not appear to be
Helijet, but Jet Blue, I updated the thread title to B6.

How do you tell if it is "entered" correctly? I have an upcoming Jetblue flight, on the Jetblue site it is showing my AA number...is that sufficient?

In my experience, what prints on the boarding pass (or what shows on the mobile boarding pass) is what matters. If using mobile, take a screenshot.

It was an absolute nightmare for me last year. Took almost two months after the flight for them to uncredit my B6 account and credit my AA account.

The second time I flew, I messaged Jetblue via Apple Business Messaging, they removed my AAdvantage number pre-flight and everything posted correctly.

I'm dealing with the exact same thing now. When I booked I put in only my AAdvantage number, but somehow the B6 number swapped in after booking. I contacted B6 via online chat and had them remove my TrueBlue number and put the AA back in, and confirmed that the number was set correctly at the time I flew the segment. 3 days later, the miles credited to my B6 account anyway. I contacted B6 and they reversed the mileage credit right away, then I submitted a missing miles request with AA. That was denied a few days ago due to "Posted to Other FFP". I compiled some documentation and emailed it off to AAdvantage customer service, and I'm hoping someone can review the case and fix it.

This is extremely frustrating because it wasn't a cheap ticket (it was a Mint transcon) which I chose in part because it was a good mileage earner. At least it's helpful to know that others have run into similar issues. I've flown on other AA partners where I have a separate FF account and never run into this before.

I am having the same problem, it's been over 10 days, I flew on a B6 flight and has entered my AAdvantage # and it even showed up on my BP but till yet it is still not showing up on my AA account. Is there anyone who has also faced this issue recently, and any tips as to how to follow up on this?

Did the miles credit to your Trueblue account? If not, enter a missing miles request.

Following up on my sad tale of woe, it was successfully resolved. I emailed [email protected] with receipt and a snapshot of my TrueBlue account. I got a reply after a week saying that my case was sent to the Solutions Desk and that they were dealing with very high volume. 2-3 weeks after that the miles and LPs posted correctly to my AA account (LPs one day after the miles, oddly). It took a while, but I'm glad they were able to fix it.

I’m still waiting for my flight to post (10 days and counting). Non codeshare B6. My number was in the record (bought it air the airport) and on the BP, but it disappeared from the BP when I moved flights. The agent helping me said it was still in there.

I filed a missing miles request so we shall see.
