Am I the only one who recalls the saying, "don't look a gift horse in the mouth"?
The free food at Admirals Clubs is...free food, and there's generally no wait in a line to get it.
It's not Per Se or French Laundry, but I'm not paying Per Se or French Laundry prices, either. All I need is a snack when I'm on the go, and the food at the Admirals Clubs suffices for that. And clearly Admirals Club management is trying to offer things that will be pleasing to passengers.
The free food at Admirals Clubs is...free food, and there's generally no wait in a line to get it.

Meatball sliders at the SFO admirals club
I don’t think I’ve seen meatball sliders at the admirals club before
