LHR Terminal for AA departures

Is the AA departure terminal going to remain in Terminal 5 or will they move back to Terminal 4?

AA were always in Terminal 3 before.

JFK departures are still in T5...All other departures have moved back to Terminal 3 already.

Thanks for the information. I wonder why the split, with AA JFK departure from 5 and the balance from 3. Will remain that way? Are they waiting until they reopen the T3 AA lounge? Seems that critical mass would support consolidation to justify reopening that.

Sadly it means no Cathay Pacific lounge if flying to JFK.

A small bit of info from Twitter:
American Airlines are to strengthen their partnership with BA this summer, by relocating select services from T3 to T5 at Heathrow.
Flights to Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami and New York JFK will operate from T5.
AA had operated from T5 during the pandemic.

Tried to paste link but it didn't populate, but it's from @tofly_totravel

Makes sense to have the most lucrative LHR routes at T5.

The T3 schedule is as follows:

-CLT (2x 777)
-PHX (1x 777)
-ORD (4x 787)
-PHL (2x 787)
-RDU (1x 777)
-SEA (1x 777)
-BOS (1x 777)

That's only 12 departures. I'm not familiar with LHR logistically, but is there really no room to accommodate those flights at T5?

Not sure of the logic, but looks like all the 77W flights (with first) will be in T5, and the others from T3.

That's a shame. If I'm flying to the US from LHR it's usually to LAX and I like T3 because of the lounge options. T5 just doesn't compete on that front.
