Question guys...I'm starting a new job in a week and not sure if I'll get up to full travel speed in time to make 250K LP threshold by March 1st. I currently have $236K of LP's. I checked out AA hotels and looking at Detroit for a weekend and I see some hotels giving 10K LP's for a weekend stay. Is there a way to query on that website by amount of LP's awarded by stay? I can't find it if there is. Thanks

You should be able to sort by Miles Earned. And LPs = miles, plus 30%, in your case assuming that you passed 100K LPs within the past 6 months. .

Cheers.

Whenever you search you can sort the results by most miles earned.

Thanks. I didn't realize there was a miles bonus. So if I book a hotel that is giving 10K LP' s for a two night stay I'll get miles too? How many? Say it's $200 night.

I might just go to downtown Tampa for the weekend rather than fly to Detroit. Sorry dad.

The amount of miles you earn on a stay = the amount of LP you earn on a stay.

The exception is if you purchase the boost at checkout, those are only bonus miles, and not LP.

What you earn on the stay is miles. That is what is listed. Then you earn LPs equal to the miles, possibly with a bonus. But these stays earn miles as a base.

Cheers.

Thanks. So I can get 13K LP's rather than the 10K advertised if have exceeded 100K LP's in the last 6 months?

Hi,

Anyone recently earned loyalty points with ghost bookings, without even doing any online check-in at Vegas hotels

enviroian Jan 10, 2024 2:23 pm

Cool. The idea of spending say $500 on a staycation weekend here in Tampa is well worth it considering what $250K threshold gives.

Appreciate the tips!

Yes. We have each done one of these with no problem and full miles/LPs earned.

Cheers.

I booked a hotel in Orlando. Most bang for the buck. I did sent them a message though asking to add my honors number as it wasn’t available at booking.

You will not receive any Hilton points or elite nights or stay credits for the stay, but you may receive some elite benefits at the hotel's discretion. Also not sure who you sent a message to but you need to contact the hotel to have them add your Hilton #, not AAH, if that's what you meant.

I am booked into 2 Marriott properties in Dallas and 1 Hilton property in California.

I know about the no elite nights and stay credits and don’t need them. But I would not mind the elite benefits. QUESTION: if I email the hotels to ask them to add my Bonvoy and HHonors numbers, will that mess up the posting of the LPs? LPs are the main reason for me to book these hotels through this channel.

No, adding your Hilton or Marriott number to a reservation will not mess up anything with regards to the miles or LP's posting. Done it many times, I always just call the hotel directly.
