Well, at least I got my bloody mary, no ice on TUS-DFW followed by the "snack basket". On the next segment DFW-CMH the flight attendant asked if I wanted to order a drink. I asked "Is this a turkey sandwich flight?" With the answer being "Yes" I said a glass of white wine would be OK. Got that and the turkey sandwich tray which was at least better than what we were getting in first on AA just a few months ago.
No one had any idea when hot (or even warm) food was going to return.

Delta is bringing back hot meals on long-haul domestic flights (over 900 miles) for first class, starting March 1. Still waiting, American.

PHX-OGG today. Absolutely disgusting. They ran out of the horrible turkey sandwich and brought this tomato thing. Took one bite of it and literally spit it out.

just boarded an lax-mex flight and the FA decided to give us a pre departure drink in F and the other FA came and said wow dont let them get used to this service because next time they are going to expect it. the amazing generous FA said well they should be and we cant be using covid as an excuse forever.
I wish I had my status thank you cards to give her all of them. god bless her. its been a while since I was able to praise an FA so I had to share lol.

Indeed. And, perhaps because "great is what they're going for", it varies by departure city (personal experience). I had some DFW-LAX that had diced pickles in it. I like potatoes. I like potato salad (generally). I love pickles. I do not like pickles in my potato salad.
