In what effen world is a premixed old-fashioned something to be desired??

It’s like a premixed mojito - you can… but should you?

I was on a AA flight from CLT to HNL last month and they had canned Mai Tai’s.

That's an insult to gas station food. 7-11 / on-que / QuikTrip / Kum&go have some decent food in Oklahoma.

No, seriously…. They did. And not that long ago. As someone mentioned they’ve had their mai tais too.

Reference: AA now has On the Rocks Aviation Gin Cocktails

There was talk about them in the AA meal threads too.

AA has bottled On The Rocks mai tais on hawaii flights, and has Aviations on premium cabins to Asia. I've had many mai tais on the hawaii flights, and had a few Aviations on a recent DFW-NRT flight. I think it would be nice to expand those offerings, and would expect AA to do so once full onboard beverage service/alcohol for sale resumes.

I'm surprised they haven't been picked up by an airline yet.

I laughed out loud at calling them "gas station sandwiches/salads." That is so well said.

Some of the new 7/11's in Texas have incredible food and craft beer as well.

Gas Station Encounters on YouTube has sandwiches that have a quarter pound of meat, three slices of cheese, made fresh daily you know. Sometimes shoplifted as well.

The ones on United come in small bottles and are pretty decent. As good as one made by a master bartender at an upscale bar/restaurant in a major city? Of course not. But, for an airplane, pretty good.
