AA.com/AA app reservations will not process
 
I have been trying to book a flight since Monday afternoon and it is now Thursday morning. I can see the flight menu for my selected dates, can choose flights for both ends of my RT, but when clicking "Continue," I get a red alert saying "Our system is having trouble. Please try again or come back later." Results are the same whether using the website or the mobile app. I have called Customer Service to get help but they tell me there are no system issues and I should just keep trying. For three straight days? Has anyone experienced this and do you have any suggestions? I am literally at my wit's end to get my travel booked. I have an AA travel credit and cannot use a third party to redeem it. I'm stuck with AA. Thanks for any help.

Call AA and book directly through reservations. If you let them know you're having trouble booking online, they're usually happy to make the booking free of charge if you ask them to.

There might be something funky with your travel credit that you'd end up having to book through reservations anyway. Some of my bookings have let me do the travel credit online and some I've had to call to be applied.

Can you let us know what specifically you are trying to book? Is there a codeshare or partner flight involved?

Having similar issues. When calling AA to book they can find but not book the fare either as prices jump 50-100%. Mix of AA and capeair flights.

I have been getting a similar error message when trying to purchase an upgrade. I chose 'change seats' on an existing reservation. After cycling through the flights, I am offered an upgrade to first class by segment. I choose to upgrade on a longish segment. I select a method of payment and reach an 'agree to stipulations' check box. After that, I get the error message. I tried over about a week with the same result. I checked my credit card and found a charge pending for each time it bombed off.
