American Airlines plane with flat tire successfully lands at Ben Gurion Airport

Just curious but why all of this?
- Israel Air Force planes were dispatched to accompany the airliner
- 59 Magen David Adom ambulances waiting on the tarmac as the plane touched down in case the landing was not successful
- the Israel Airports Authority ordered that the runway be sprayed with a special coolant that reduces friction

Yeah. Must be very slow day. Too quiet.
No, captain did not check the tire before takeoff. They must have check tire and he have make sure everything is good. If the tire is not flat and if you see tire is flat. They must report it to maintenance right away. They will change the tire immediately. It's very important. They must have be responsible for checking the tire.
