Ticket Change Question
 
I have a sweet non stop J LHR-DFW and back booked for mid August for my mom. Well obviously that isn't going to happen. I really don't want to redeposit these miles as these saver J non stop award will never happen again (booked this in April).

Question. Well my sister lives in the UK too. She of course still has her US passport so she can take advantage of the trip. Is there a way to finagle a ticket to change the name?

Yes, if there is current award availability. You can cancel and rebook the other person.

that’s just it. The second I cancel that existing ticket it’s gone. I wanted to see how if I can change the name on a ticket.

There's no way to change the name to a different person.

If your mom isn't going to go then I would just cancel and re-deposit the miles. The first random date in November I clicked on searching LHR-DFW has sAAver business availability on the AA nonstop at 57.5k (and tons of connecting options), so I don't think this award space is quite the unicorn you're making it out to be, especially given the current environment.

well this trip booked is for mid to late august. A quick look at AA shows the lowest J flights at 214K round trip :rolleyes: so no deals here in august.

It’s certainly a unicorn.
