I'm jealous of the deals I keep seeing in these threads. I'm seeing $140 to upgrade ORD-BNA, which is a 400 mile flight...

I'm starting to see the offers aren't as aggressive as they were a few months back. Certainly not of the sub $150 type. Still, I think there are high end travelers that will spend an extra $300-$700 to get out of the Y hell.

I have noticed, as a Plat, that my upgrades have been clearing around T-12, even when F is wide open at T-48, the beginning of the window. I surmise this is to give AA the chance to market paid upgrades for OLCI pax.

Has it always been that SDFC after upgrade is into the upgraded class? I’ve noticed this has happened to me a couple times too.

This was from Premium Economy. The P ticket was only $150 more than the Y ticket in the first place though.

$90 upgrade offer for 2.5 hour flight just outside of EXP upgrade window. $1000+ fare difference with only two remaining seats, so not an upfare. Unfortunately this seems like the new normal.

For BA Tier Point collectors, a data point: for this flight, which I purchased in deep discount economy but upgraded via the $75 offer, I did get the full 40 Tier Points (posted as C/J) along with the Cabin Bonus, neither of which I expected.
