status of SEA-BLR
I just booked this for March 2022, I believe the inaugural flight is set for October. Does anyone know the status of this launch? Who here has booked on this route? Most of the info I am finding is about a year old.
There was some concern that this route will not actually launch but given the lack of any info I am guessing it is still on as planned.

It is in the OAG schedule, but it is not bookable still. Tag in OAG is SUBJECT TO GOVERNMENT APPROVAL. I assume, at this point, that it will not start in October.

I had booked seat 1A on the inaugural flight on Oct. 30th but canceled the itinerary for two reasons. The first was the developing Covid situation in India and the second was the fact that India was not issuing any tourist visas. I called the Indian Consulate in San Francisco and they really could not say when or if the visa situation would change. This was a relatively expensive booking but, since I canceled, AA issued me a flight credit for the full amount of the booking. I have since spent all but $2K of the amount credited to my account.

I am highly doubtful that this flight will actually launch anytime before Spring of 2022.
Tech business travel is still restricted and COVID is still rampant in India.

Oh well, hope it runs.. if not, will get a refund I guess but would be a bummer. I was really looking forward to the direct flight from SEA on the 787. I guess the world isn't settled yet.
Thanks. I actually have an OCI so no visa issues. But I understand rules are in flux at the moment. I was rather optimistic that the situation in India (and the World at large) is going to simmer down in a 6 months.

Just like SEA-PVG. AA completely removed this flight from their schedule. The LAX flight was doing fairly well, I flew it a couple times and it's always full. Even with AS partnership I still don't understand why they would shift LAX-PVG to SEA-PVG.

Technically AA still has a daily SEA-PVG scheduled from September 8, however, it's not available for sale. They've been pushing it back by a month.
